Sewing the Bags

Making card patterns to cut out the bags the right size. Prior to this Skye, Jeremy and myself went fabric shopping! We just went to the second hand store and found an old duvet cover that seemed in good condition. This was good because it was double sided so we had lots :)
First the top was sewn to create a casing for the rope to go through, then the side and the bottom was overlocked closed. This meant the bag making process was shorted because they weren't having to be sewn and overlocked.

Then the two bottom corners were pulled out and overlocked off to create a flat bottom for the bottle to sit on. After this we cut 2 holes in the casing on the inside of the bag and threaded the rope through. To begin with we thought we only needed 4 meters of rope, we actually needed 40 but it was from the flexi-hub so it was easy to source more.
This is when all bags were done and the bottles were finished and we got to put them all in their little bags :) The bags also kept the glass protected during transporting.
